Flu Shot
And did I mention that Caleb got his flu shot on Sat? He walked right up to the nurse (even after hearing the previous kid yell 'no! no! no!') and they put him on the big boy stool and just jabbed him in the thigh. He cried for about 3 seconds and then got distracted by the lollipop that I fished out of the jar for him. After he got off the chair, he turned around and went straight back to the nurse. She said "Good gracious! You've had your shot little boy". The next night, he took one look at his sesame street bandaid and just ripped it right off. My big boy!!

Miscellaneous Caleb Moments
Look at these precious pictures of Caleb. He's become quite the mischievious one with an amazing personality. One thing that amazes me is that when I catch him doing something that I don't want him doing (ie. squeezing all his yoghurt onto the floor, standing on the kitchen table, being too rough with Max (the kitty), drawing on the walls....you know, typical toddler stuff), he immediately accepts fault and knows to go to his time out spot and he'll stand there until I tell him time's up. Afterwards, he'll immediately come and give me a hug and kiss and then he'll go on his merry way. It just seems to me to be a very mature toddler reaction. Most times, he's as sweet as sweet can be. He loves to press his face right up to yours and talk like he's asking questions. Oh! And I weighed him yesterday night and it looks like he's about 25.3 lbs right now. Yay!

Nicki's Surprise Party & Gavin & Gabbi's B-Day
Last weekend we had a surprise birthday party for Nicki and just this past weekend, she had a birthday party for Gabbi & Gavin. Both parties went off without a hitch and I have been taking notes for Caleb's birthday. I'm still trying to get the hang of kids birthday parties and I'm glad that this year I can still keep it small. Again, please ignore the date stamp on the camera....

Caleb's 2nd State Fair

This tastes good...really!

Gimme that ice cream!!!
Gimme that ice cream!!!
Please ignore the date stamp on these photos...since my camera is out of commission, I had to borrow Toon's camera to take pictures of the fair since I apparently cannot survive the 10-14 days without a camera....and I didn't realize until I uploaded these pictures that his camera's date setting is a few months behind. Also, all the pictures appear to be a little blurry....
Caleb had fun at the state fair this year. It was an exhausting 3 hours after which all three of us promptly took some much needed naps as soon as we got home. He rode he swings, the carousel and ate the fried turkey drumsticks as well as lots of icecream. Caleb's favourite part seemed to be the giant slushie drink and the petting zoo (which we grudgingly let him experience even after all the e.coli scares on the news in other states in past years).

SUMMARY OF MY LAST YEAR ON THE COMPUTER
Somebody sent me this forward and I thought it was funny....
SUMMARY OF MY LAST YEAR ON THE COMPUTER
I must send my thanks to whoever sent me the one about poop in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet towel with every envelope that needs sealing.
Also, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.
I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl (Penny Brown) who is about to die in the hospital for the 1,387,258th time.
I no longer have any money at all, but that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Bill Gates/Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special e-mail program.
I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me, and St. Theresa's novena has granted my every wish.
I no longer eat KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.
I no longer use cance
r-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day
Thanks to you, I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward an email to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.
Because of your concern I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.
I no longer can buy gasoline without taking someone along to watch the car so a serial killer won't crawl in my back seat when I'm pumping gas.
I no longer drink Pepsi or Dr. Pepper since the people who make these products are atheists who refuse to put 'Under God' on their cans.
I no longer use Saran wrap in the microwave because it causes cancer.
And thanks for letting me know I can't boil a cup of water in the microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face...disfiguring me for life.
I no longer check the coin return on pay phones because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS.
I no longer go to shopping malls because someone will drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.
I no longer receive packages from UPS or FedEx since they are actually Al Qaeda in disguise.
I no longer shop at Target since they are French and don't support our American troops or the Salvation Army.
I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore , and Uzbekistan
I no longer buy expensive cookies from Neiman Marcus since I now have their recipe.
Thanks to you, I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big brown African spider is lurking under the seat to cause me instant death when it bites my butt.
And thanks to your gr eat advice, I can't ever pick up $5.00 I dropped in the parking lot because it probably was placed there by a sex molester waiting underneath my car to grab my leg.
I can no longer drive my car because I can't buy gas from certain gas companies!

"Polter-Camera"
I'm very sad to report that my beloved camera is out of commission for at least the next 10-14 days. :( It has decided to not work for me anymore and on top of that, when it's in the 'off' position, it would suddenly turn on and off for no apparent reason. Some of the buttons like the 'menu' and 'review' button also weren't working.....I feel so lost without my camera!! :( I brought it back to Best Buy (since I luckily am still within the 4 year warranty) and they are looking into it.....for the next 10-14 days. At the end of which I will either have my camera back working or receive a store credit for the amount I paid. Hopefully.....
