Girls Night!

We all went out for Angela's and Heather's Birthday on Saturday. This picture is missing Kristen though :(

We ended up at the Red Room with a pitcher of Sangria and a couple of us even made it to the dance floor :P

Purple Blooms...

Gardening...

We spent another glorious Sunday afternoon in the garden planting in our raised garden bed. We have a couple varieties of tomotoes (thanks to a sale at Home Depot, B1G1) and since we've ventured into flowers this year, I thought that I'd show how well these little shrubs are doing right now.

Spring Planting

We took my bioStar money and bought plants for our front yard. A couple of weeks ago we had planted 12 small Azalea bushes along the side of the house. This time we invested in some larger plants to replace some slow growing monkey grass in the front. We purchased two beautiful purple rhodedendrons and another 3gallon pink azalea bush for the front. Jay of course did all the work and Caleb was being Casanova driving Tamara's two girls around in the neighborhood in his jeep. I on the other hand was in Tara's house eating pineapples, drinking juice and watching a movie with Tara and Tamara and bouncing Courtney on my knee while Jay watched the kids AND cleaned up all the planting debris. :)

Big Boy Toys

We went for hike and came across this huge peice of machinery that Jay just HAD to get a picture of....and then of course Caleb wanted to be where Daddy was...something about boys makes them love big trucks....;P

UniverSoul Circus

We went to the UniverSOUL Circus today and Caleb had a blast. It was a multiculural event with performers from China to Africa to Russia...We will definately be making this one of our yearly go sees...

What Saturdays Were Meant For....

This morning we leisurely woke up and decided to go grocery shopping...first we stopped at GrandAsia and then to Aldi's and then to Food Lion....we got home and put our many many bags away into the fridge and pantry and I proceeded to cook while Caleb played outside and Jay helped both me and watch Caleb. We made tripe from a dim sum recipe I found online, 'green sauce' for white cut chicken, clams, beef tongue (sorry for those who'll find that offputting), white fish we steamed whole with scallions, ginger and cilantro and baby bok choy with fried tofu and fish balls. This is how we usually do things....cook all weekend so that we eat leftovers for the rest of the week. This is what Saturdays were meant for.

Caleb the Pilot

I forgot to post this earlier....but on our flight to Dallas, the pilot pulled Caleb into the cockpit and gave him his hat and told Caleb to pretend that he was flying the plane! :)

Jay's been on spring break at school so he and Caleb have been running around...I'm so jealous.

So most of our pictures were posted on Facebook since the majority of Jays family is on facebook (including Momo and Popo!)....I'll post some highlights later...in the meantime, here are some pics off of my camera phone. We had a blast in TX and can't wait to visit again. I feel like I left a peice of myself behind with Jay's family.

Zing Zang Zoom

We went to the circus with the Sherrons this past weekend. Zing Zang Zoom! It was a really interesting show...what was more interesting was that I had speculated with Caleb on the way in whether we were going to see elephants, tigers and monkeys...and then after the show, Caleb says "Mommy....there were NO monkeys!"...I was impressed that he remembered what we were discussing beforehand.

Vancouver

There is just absolutely no way I could post all the pics to do our Vancouver trip justice...I literally have thouhsands of photos between myself, my sister and my cousin Jason.....here's a small taste. I posted a little over 100 photos on facebook....:)
